As TUIS, we believe that education isn't confined within the classrooms. In line with this, there is a comprehensive program of after-school activities at all levels of the school. The multifaceted student profile is reflected in varying clubs and activities appealing to the differing interests. The school creates opportunities for the students to take part in some group activities to share experience. This helps them improve their learning skills and they will be encouraged to get better results in their normal classes. Clubs and societies are good for the purposes mentioned above.
We currently have the clubs and societies listed below:
• Drama & Cinema Club
• Origami and Paper Construction Club
• Outdoor Challenge Club
• Young Journalists Club
• Lego Club
• Homework Club (lower primary classes only)
• Amateur Photographers' Society
• Young Singer's Choir
• Festival Club
• Chess & Board Games Club
• Turkish Culture & Language Club
• Football Club
• Basketball Club
• Volleyball Club
• ICT (Information & Communication Technology) Society
Each club has ongoing activities on and off-campus, such as creating school plays, organizing trips to places to take photos, creating paper works, visiting local theaters, organizing outdoor trips and picnics, and publishing magazines. The clubs, activities, and events available on campus make it easy to dive more deeply into any of your children's newly discovered talents and interests. The school uses a local theatre for popular performances.
Sports are, of course, a major part of active student life at TUIS. Our football and basketball teams participate in the local and international tournaments. Recently, our boys' and girls' basketball teams have also traveled to Almaty , Kazakhstan and took part in an international tournament organized by the Central Asian International Schools Association.
